Across the gentle flowing stream, there laid a stretch of pebbles.
Along came a cat and a rooster.
“Let’s cross the line, shall we?” Asked the rooster.
The cat hesitated but agreed.
“Follow my lead.” Said the rooster as it hopped pebble by pebble until it reached the far bank.
“Come on. Its alright. You can do it.” The rooster encouraged.
Reluctantly, the cat took the first step.
“You are doing great.” The rooster praised, flapping its wings.
Feeling more confident as it made it past the few pebbles, the cat picked up speed.
As it was moving swiftly, the cat slipped and fell into the water. And, luckily, as the water was shallow, the cat managed to hop its way to join the rooster that was laughing at the cat’s plight.
